Hello…I recently arrived at Wayne Memorial on two occasions in February and March of 2019 for outpatient procedures. I immediately felt comfortable as the staff was so caring and friendly. I can’t remember all the people who cared for me but the ones I do remember are Betsy, Chelsea, Debbie, Frank, Maria, Mike, and of course the Doctors. It is evident that this staff really cares about their patients. Not only from what I experienced, but how I noticed they treated everyone. Even their co-workers.
Thank you so much for taking care of me. Everyone who I tell about the experiences at Wayne Memorial will know how great the people are there. Thanks again!

A few weeks ago I was admitted to the hospital from the emergency room for a mild heart attack and high blood pressure. I just moved here from Long Island New York and new the area. The staff made me feel more relaxed and at ease so I can heal better. GREAT JOB !!!!!!

I recently have had some health issues and not knowing a lot about procedures for testing and being referred to specialist, I have excellent direction and care from the doctors, CRNP Krista Hollis, nurses and every single person on their staff! Every avenue is covered and researched to assure you are getting the best care possible. I have never had the follow up, compassion and actual interest in my care by any other medical group. It is not very often that you find the cooperation and patience that they show to their patients. Every single telephone call is handled and returned with a professional , friendly and caring manner which makes a patient comfortable. The interest and time put in every single case is amazing. I am being taken care of with reassuring excellence which makes me trust and feel secure.
Thank you to a wonderful medical group at McAndrew Family Health!

I don’t even know where to begin. Megan Jones or “megs” was everything I needed during my pregnancy. I am a second time mom who suffers from anxiety and worries about almost everything. I immediately felt a connection to Megs the first time I met her. She was warm, funny, and incredibly caring. She truly made me feel like my pregnancy was as important to her as it was to me. She looked at my medical history thoroughly and ran extra tests and kept an eye on me even when my appointments weren’t with her. From personal calls to make sure I was ok or to follow up on a test, to laughing with me during appointments, it felt like each week I was going to see a friend, not just a healthcare provider. When it was time for me to give birth, by some miracle Megs was on call. I will forever be thankful for that! Not only did she already all my history, but she was a calming presence when I was at my most vulnerable. Megs sat by my bedside coaching me through contractions. When it was time for my epidural, Megs held my hand and told me it was ok to squeeze as hard as I needed to. Honestly, it felt like a friend was in the room with me the whole time. I will forever be thankful for her help during my pregnancy and during the safe delivery of my sweet baby boy. Wayne Memorial is incredibly lucky to have such an amazing midwife!

To: My Echo Tech today and your patient lesson that helped with my estimate
I called local hospitals for an estimate on the patient pay portion for the Echo I had today. I originally scheduled it through an (name of another health system, not WMH) affiliated site. When I received (other health system’s) estimate it was noticeably higher than the other regional hospitals so I called to make sure the quote I received from the other hospitals was right. I spoke with the nicest man. He spoke to me like I wasn’t a burden and we spoke about the estimate. After a day of being immensely frustrated with calling other hospitals your team was a relief to speak to. I do have a back ground in medical billing and he just answered all my questions and was so informative. Subsequently I booked my Echo with WMH.
I’ve been trying to remember her name and I know it began with an M (Mariah Runco) but she was wonderful today. I was curious about my Echo and the images. It can be a little nerve racking to have a new test done. She had the greatest bedside manner and answered my questions and chatted with me. She really put my mind at ease and made the whole process comfortable for me.

I absolutely love Nurse Practitioner Lisa Miller from Honesdale Family Health Center! I’ve seen a lot of doctors recently and she’s been the most caring and helpful person I’ve seen in a long time, and she’s helped me tremendously! She promptly returns calls, and has even called me back on a weekend. I can tell she truly wants to help people feel better and continues to try until she gets to the root of the problem. She helped me throughout one of the hardest times of my life, and she continues to make sure I’m healing well from surgery. I recommend her to everyone in need of some medical answers.

Recently I had my son in law, husband and 28 day old grandson in the ER at the same time (all unrelated issues) so I was completely overwhelmed. The baby was transported and son-in-law was released. They received excellent care and compassion.
My husband spent six days in the hospital. The staff in the ER was excellent. We are not familiar with the area and a nurse offered to let me follow her home since she lived in our area. My husband was then moved to the 4th floor. EVERYONE from the Doctor, nurses, dietary aides, technicians, nurses’ aides and housekeeping was wonderful. In particular the nurse that he had for several days (Felicia Correa, RN). She was so compassionate and friendly and truly cared about his well-being. I knew how special she was when she came in the following day and she told me that she worried about him all night and was glad to see he was making progress. Thank you for making the most awful week bearable. Nicola Calabrese on behalf of Albert Calabrese

To: Same day pre-op, op-holding and post-op staff
My 6 year old son had minor same day surgery on 5/17/18. Once again we had a phenomenal experience with all the staff in pre-op, op-holding and post-op. EVERYONE we came into contact with made it a point to smile, make my son laugh and give him special attention. As a parent, to have your child feel so comfortable while in a hospital having a procedure is priceless. When he heard he would have to have this procedure again, his only concern was how long it took because of his consistent great experiences with all of these amazing people. Not only were they playing games with him, giving him whatever he wanted/needed they made him feel safe and comfortable. The people in these roles have such a nurturing manner to them that is unparalleled and should be commended. Instead being anxious and worried, they make everyone feel cared for and at ease. I could go on and on……
Please send my gratefulness to all in these departments.
