(Honesdale, May 13, 2020)… Lenore Weisse, Lackawaxen, is one of the first patients to take advantage of newly re-initiated physical therapy services at Wayne Memorial’s Route 6 Mall site in Honesdale. Wayne Memorial Rehabilitation Services at Route 6 is now accepting physical therapy patients Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, as well as lymphedema patients in need of occupational therapy. Rehabilitation services had been suspended since late March. Recently the hospital also re-instated blood-draw services at the Route 6 site and at several other outpatient locations. Services in community health centers in Honesdale, Carbondale, Hamlin and Pike County were never halted and continue as usual. “We’re happy to be back,” said Rehabilitation services Manager Terri Henderson, MHA,OTR/L, “and we anticipate adding more services, such as speech therapy, and re-opening our Delaware Street site also in the near future.” Photo: Weisse and therapist Lauren Bonitz, DPT.
