WMH Employee of the Year 2021

(Honesdale, January 3, 2022)… Marykate Grady is WMH’s Employee of the Year!  It was announced in the hospital’s cafeteria with a festive toast and six other nominees.  Marykate, a nurse aide, was the September Employee of the Month and her nomination came with a long list of glowing comments from nearly two dozen co-workers. Cheerful, compassionate and so helpful were consistently mentioned throughout the pages describing her positive qualities. She’s been with the hospital for nearly four years and is clearly a delightful presence wherever she is posted. “God gives everyone a mission and mine is here. I’ve learned from every patient I’ve been with,” Marykate said.  After finding out she was chosen, the Cold Springs resident added “I would pick any one of the others for this, they’re all great.”  All the employees of the month present applauded Marykate and each was given a colorful potted plant to take home. Outgoing CEO David Hoff praised Marykate and thanked all the employees of the month for their service. The Employee of the Year is chosen by the Employees of the Month from the previous year. Marykate received a plaque, a permanent position on the hospitals EOY Wall of Honor near the cafeteria and a monetary gift. Congratulations Marykate Grady and thank you!
