WMH Alzheimer’s Support Group

(Honesdale, September 27, 2023)…Wayne Memorial Hospital announces a new, free, monthly support group for people living with dementia and their care partners. Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pennsylvania, the group meets the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the hospital’s David Katz Conference Room in Honesdale.

Here you can learn about community resources, talk through issues and ways of coping, exchange practical information, and develop a support system. The group setting provides an opportunity to be empowered and understand what to expect.

The trained facilitators encourage participants to explore the challenges and accept the changes that come as you move forward. You can participate as much or as little as you like. The Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pennsylvania is a safe resource for information, advice, and support. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed or is caring for someone with a diagnosis, plan to come. The next support group meeting is Tuesday October 3rd.
