WMCHC Opens Podiatry Office in Honesdale  

 

Honesdale, PA (June 17, 2024) — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) has added a new service to its existing network of offices – podiatry. The practice, Honesdale Podiatry, is located within the Stourbridge Medical and Professional Complex at 600 Maple Avenue and attended by Board Certified Podiatrist Anthony Brutico, Jr., DPM.

Podiatry is a specialty focused on the health of ankles, feet and toes. In his practice, Dr. Brutico provides general podiatric medicine treating conditions ranging from ingrown toenails, corns, calluses and bunions to in-office wound care management. Additionally, he will act as a vital member of a patient’s care team for chronic conditions such as diabetes.

“We welcome Dr. Brutico and his staff to WMCHC,” stated Chief Administrative Officer Wynter Newman. “Increasing our scope with a new specialty allows us to further our commitment to offering comprehensive, coordinated care.”

Dr. Brutico was born and raised in northeast Pennsylvania. He received a Master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Scranton, PA. He was then accepted to Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA where he earned his DPM. Dr. Brutico returned to NEPA to complete a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Scranton’s Geisinger Community Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining WMCHC, he was employed at the Regional Foot and Ankle Center in Dunmore and later opened a private practice in Scranton. Additionally, he has treated patients at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s Advanced Wound Care Center since 2021.
