Wayne Woodlands Manor Christmas Celebration and More

(Honesdale, PA, December 24, 2024)… The joy of the holiday season was in full splendor at Wayne Woodlands Manor (WWM) during their Christmas Party and anniversary celebration last week. The facility is festooned with garland, decorations and themed Christmas trees.  The buffet of food and sweet treats was scrumptious. The entertainment was delightful, and Santa Claus was as jolly as ever! Attendance was overflowing.

The impassioned remarks by Administrator Judy Eisenhauer, LNHA, DNP, CRRN, told a brief story of WWM from its beginning 30 years ago to the “symbol of love and legacy of caring,” today. “The building represents the cultural heritage of a community, reflecting the values, beliefs, and traditions of past generations,” she explained. The caring and compassionate team brings the place to life.

In addition to the Christmas and anniversary festivities, Eisenhauer celebrated two employees who have been with WWM the entire time. The first resident was accepted in August 1994. Admissions Nurse Christine Shandor, LPN, has worked at WWM since before then, helping prepare and finalize the facility for occupancy. Esther Wydeen, CNA, began her career at WWM in November 1994 and has continued her commitment to the residents ever since.
