Wayne County Observes National Health Center Week

(Honesdale, August 11, 2023)…Members of the Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) leadership team were presented with a proclamation from the Wayne County Commissioner’s declaring August 6th – 12th as National Health Center Week. In addressing the commissioners, WMCHC highlighted its commitment to accessible care, recruitment of highly-qualified providers and identifying as an employer of choice. Also stressed were outreach and enrollment services offered free to all county residents who need to reapply for Medicaid benefits.

WMCHC is a federally qualified health center with 18 office sites across four counties. It is a clinical affiliate of Wayne Memorial Health System, Inc.  Services include primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, dental and behavioral health services as well as urgent care/walk-in centers for non-life-threatening medical needs.
