Van Gorders’ Furniture Donates to The Other Shop Volunteers

(Honesdale, April 26, 2023)… Volunteers at The Other Shop, a thrift shop in Honesdale run by the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, have Van Gorders’ Furniture to thank for making their work stations more comfortable. The furniture store donated three brand new, durable, high-quality stools for workers to sit on. Other Shop Manager Tami Baker was very pleased. “Sorting, pricing and tagging all the merchandise takes a toll on the back when you’re standing for hours at a time,” she said. “These stools will make the day’s work much less strenuous.” The Other Shop in Honesdale and The Other Shop 2 in Hawley sell a large selection of gently used clothing and household items six days a week. All proceeds benefit the Auxiliary and, ultimately, the hospital. Volunteers with available time from two hours a week or once a month, to two days a week and more are welcome.
