Health Center Offices Close for Today

(Honesdale, February 2, 2021)… For the safety of patients and staff, Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers announced early today that all its offices would be closed all day. This includes primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, Lake Region Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine, behavioral health and dental offices in Wayne and Pike Counties, Forest City and  Carbondale.  WMCHC operates most of the primary care physician offices in Wayne County, including the largest one, Highland Family Physicians. Again, all offices are closed today due to the snowstorm and are expected to reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, February 3rd.
Other snowstorm related closings:

• Closed – Wayne Memorial COVID Testing site at Wayne County Fairgrounds
• Closed – all Wayne Memorial Hospital ancillary services at satellite clinics. This includes lab, x-ray and rehabilitation services. Clinics are in Honesdale (Route 6 Mall), Carbondale, Lords Valley. Due to staffing issues ancillary services in Tafton, Forest City and Waymart have been temporarily closed for a few weeks.
• Vaccine clinics for patients with scheduled appointments: Honesdale rescheduled to Friday, February 5; second-dose clinic in Carbondale rescheduled to Wednesday February 3rd; second-dose clinic in Tafton remains as planned for Wednesday, February 3rd.

Wayne Memorial Hospital remains open 24/7, including Laboratory and Radiology Services.
