Flu Vaccine Clinics at Senior Centers

(Honesdale, October 28, 2022…Wayne Memorial Home Health and the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging are offering three flu vaccine clinics this fall for Medicare patients.  The clinics will be held at area senior centers and no fee will be charged.  “The standard flu dose vaccine will be offered,” according to Daniela Davis, RN, manager Wayne Memorial Home Health & Hospice, who added that “patients seeking the high dose should contact their physician.”

More flu clinics may be scheduled as needed. The Centers for Disease Control recommends flu vaccines, ideally before the end of October. While the flu vaccine will not protect you against COVID-19, you can get the flu and COVID at the same time. The clinics to date are:

11/2     Honesdale Senior Center      10am – 12 noon

11/15   Hamlin Senior Center           10am – 12noon

11/17   Hawley Senior Center           10am- 12noon.
