Alexis Felsman, DO, FACOOG, Practicing at the Women’s Health Center

Honesdale, PA (December 14, 2020)—Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is pleased to announce that Board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist Alexis Felsman, DO, FACOOG, has joined the Women’s Health Center. In addition to seeing patients at both the Honesdale and Hamlin office sites, Dr. Felsman will facilitate births and perform surgical procedures at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.

The decision to become a member of Wayne Memorial’s Medical Staff was both personal and profession for Dr. Felsman who feels a connection to Wayne County, where her husband was raised, as well as confidence in the health center’s reputation, “having spent part of my life living in a small town, I understand the many challenges women face when seeking specialty care. I was drawn to WMCHC and the Women’s Health Center’s high standards of obstetric and gynecologic care through advanced and individualized attention.”

Dr. Felsman earned her medical degree from the Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Downers Grove, IL and a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from Penn State University. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Inspira Health Network, Vineland, NJ where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Felsman was a partner of OB/GYN Associates, LLC, Wilkes-Barre, for four years prior to joining WMCHC.

Dr. Felsman, who is passionate about her work and looks forward to establishing respectful and professional relationships with her new patients, regards the specialty of OB/GYN as a unique one, “the continuity of care is like no other specialty. I can take care of a patient for nearly her entire life.” She also added that as an OB/GYN she enjoys her role “helping guide women through the wide range of decisions and procedures involving some of the most important aspects of their health and wellness.”
