Welcome Spring at the WMH Auxiliary Gala

(Honesdale, PA, April 14, 2025)…Although there was a snow advisory Saturday morning, Spring was in full bloom Saturday night at the Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) Auxiliary’s Secret Garden Gala! From the gorgeous decorations to the guests’ beautiful attire and efflorescent atmosphere of the night, the Anthracite Center in Carbondale was the place to be April 12th!

Friends, coworkers, and supporters of the WMH Auxiliary were out on the town and it was all for a good cause, as always. This year, funds raised are being donated to Wayne Woodlands Manor, the health system’s long term care facility in Waymart. The evening included dinner and drinks, dancing, raffles, and updates by Wayne Memorial Health System CEO Jim Pettinato, including Wayne Woodlands’ exceptional Three Star rating.

It’s one of their biggest fundraising events of the year. Additionally, WMH Auxiliary received a proclamation from freshman Congressman Rob Bresnahan, who was also in attendance with his fiancé Chelsea Strub, former news anchor at WNEP TV-16. It says, in part, WMH Auxiliary “exemplifies the spirit of service, generosity, and civic commitment that strengthens our healthcare institutions and uplifts our communities.” Thank you to everyone that helped make this event possible.
