(Honesdale, August 9, 2024) …The Pike County Commissioners presented Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) with a proclamation recognizing August 4 – 10, 2024 as National Health Center Week.
The proclamation noted “Community Health Centers are a critical element of the healthcare system, serving both rural and urban populations, often providing the only accessible and dependable source of primary care in their communities.”
WMCHC operates five sites within Pike County: Pike Family Health Center and Pinnacle Family Health Center, both offering primary care; Pike Pediatric Center for newborn to age 18; Women’s Health Center of Pike County and Pike Dental Center. Additionally, located within the Pike Family Health Center, WMCHC offers a Tick-Borne Disease Wellness Center.
Overall, WMCHC’s 19 office locations stretch across four counties. Services also include behavioral health services for treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, walk-in centers for non-life-threatening conditions and podiatric medicine. For locations of all services, visit www.wmchc.net.
