Pamela Gaeng, FNP-C, Joins Pike Family Health Center

Honesdale, PA (September 20, 2023) — Nurse Practitioner Pamela Gaeng, FNP-C, long-time resident of Greeley, PA, is fulfilling the role of primary care provider within her home community. Pamela officially joined Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers’ (WMCHC) Pike Family Health Center in early September. She treats patients ranging from age 4 to adult at the practice located at 750 Route 739 in Lords Valley, PA.

“I have lived in Pike County for 43 years and understand the healthcare challenges this area faces,” stated Pamela. Not only is Pamela familiar with the region, but she also shares a comfort-level and respect for her fellow providers at Pike Family Health Center, “I did the majority of my graduate school clinical with WMCHC and I felt I gained much knowledge and experience from my preceptors.”

Pamela has greater than 17 years’ experience in the healthcare field; first as a registered nurse for 16+ years and then as a family nurse practitioner for one year. She was most recently employed by Great Valley Cardiology in Scranton. Her career as an RN prior to that was spent at Regional Hospital in Scranton where she staffed the telemetry unit. Pamela graduated with a Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from the University of Scranton and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Marywood University.

In addition to primary care, Pamela has a special interest in the treatment of Tick-borne Diseases. She plans to train with Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner Harriet Loizeaux, MSN, FNP-BC who has served as the primary Lyme-literate provider of WMCHC’s Tick-borne Disease Wellness Center since its inception in 2019.
