Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers Presents Golden Stethoscope Awards

(Honesdale, PA, January 26, 2023) – Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) honored three of its providers – a certified nurse midwife and two physicians — with the annual Golden Stethoscope Award.  Clinicians receiving the award were recognized for demonstrating “outstanding leadership, patient satisfaction and loyalty to the health centers, Wayne Memorial Hospital and the community at large” throughout 2022. Shown during WMCHC’s annual holiday and awards dinner on January 21st at the Hotel Anthracite in Carbondale are (center) awardee Christina MacDowell, DNP, CNM, Women’s Health Center, (left) Teresa Lacey incoming Executive Director, WMCHC and (right) current Executive Director of WMCHC Frederick Jackson.  Also receiving awards were Apurva Jain, MD, board-certified pediatrician, Sterling Pediatric Center and Richard Hacker, MD, board-certified family physician, Northern Wayne Family Health Center and Medical Director of Lake Region Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine.
