Honesdale VA Outpatient Clinic Adds Nurse Practitioner

Honesdale, PA (March 16, 2021)—Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is pleased to announce Jessica Woodmansee, MSN, FNP-BC as the newest primary care provider at the Honesdale VA Outpatient Clinic. The Clinic, located at 600 Maple Avenue, was established in 2014 to offer eligible veterans a continuum of care within their own community.

“I cannot think of a more rewarding career than taking care of our veterans,” says Woodmansee who although did not serve in the military herself, has a great admiration for those who have including her father and grandfather as well as many close friends and relatives — some who are still in active duty.

While earning her Master of Science degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University, Woodmansee completed all clinic rotations—primary care, pediatrics and women’s health— at WMCHC offices. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing from Morrisville State University in New York. Woodmansee was most recently employed as a Family Nurse Practitioner at United Health Services Dermatology in Vestal, NY.

Upon entering her new position with Honesdale VA, Woodmansee looks forward to “providing care in a rural community” where she can “develop relationships not only in the office but in the community with patients.”

The Honesdale VA Outpatient Clinic offers eligible veterans primary care including prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow up. Woodmansee will also provide women’s health services.  Phlebotomy, EKG, and an injection clinic are offered on site as well as a number of specialty clinics through tele-medicine.
