Pediatrician Apurva Jain, MD, Achieves Board Certification

Honesdale, PA (December 11, 2020) – Apurva Jain, MD, pediatrician at the Sterling Pediatric Center, part of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC), has been awarded board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).

In addition to successfully passing the ABP’s General Pediatrics Certifying Exam covering all aspects of healthcare for infants, children and adolescents, Dr. Jain was also required to complete three years of pediatric training in an accredited residency program, prove clinical competence as well as demonstrate professional and ethical conduct in order to become a board-certified pediatrician.

WMCHC’s operates three outpatient pediatric sites–Honesdale Pediatric Center, Waymart Pediatric Center and Sterling Pediatric Center. Each location offers well-and sick-child visits, immunizations, medical evaluation and treatment of chronic conditions as part of a child’s medical home. Dr. Jain, treats newborns and children up to the age 18, joined WMCHC in the summer of 2020.
