(Vandling, PA, July 25, 2012) – Women within the greater Forest City area will have increased access to obstetric and gynecology services beginning in August. Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is pleased to announce that Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist Thomas O’Brien, M.D. and Certified Nurse Midwife Patricia Konzman will both see patients at the McAndrew Family Health Center located in Vandling.

Lords Valley, PA -- (May 16, 2012) – The Women’s Health Center located in Pike County Medical Center has partnered with Maternal and Family Health Services (MFHS) to provide confidential, affordable family planning and preventative health services to area women. These services include complete gynecological exams, pregnancy tests, HIV testing/counseling, and for those who qualify, free birth control.

Honesdale, PA (April 3, 2012)— Pregnant women over the age of 35, those with a strong family history of chromosomal disorders or risk factors such as gestational diabetes may be advised to undergo a first trimester test called a Nuchal Translucency (NT) ultrasound. Until recently, women in need of this diagnostic procedure were required to travel outside of the Honesdale area to have the procedure performed.
