Group Therapy
Group therapy supports validation of one’s feelings and experiences and creates a sense of safety and meaningful ties with others. It also provides the opportunity to gain new perspectives and coping skills and teaches how to integrate these skills into every day life. Various group therapy sessions are offered including the Anxiety and Stress Reduction Group. Most groups meet weekly and consist of 6 – 10 participants. Sessions are moderated by therapists who have an interest and expertise in the discipline.

In order to participate in group therapy, you must be an existing patient of the Center and recommended by one of our therapists, psychiatrists or nurse practitioners. Please call 570-253-8219, Option 1 to discuss arranging an intake appointment.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) For Substance Use Disorders
Our MAT program is a combination of both FDA-approved medications and counseling. A team of psychiatrists, mental health nurse practitioners, LPNs, a certified peer recovery specialist and therapists who are Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselors are all here to help you. Medications are administered in our clinical suite which consists of two private treatment rooms and a nursing station, and is located separately from the therapy offices.

Three types of MAT are offered: Vivitrol – a monthly opioid blocker for patients free of opioids for at least five days; Sublocade – monthly Buprenorphine injection; Probuphine – Six-month Buprenorphine implant for patients stabilized on 8mg or less of oral Buprenorphine. Our practice does not prescribe maintenance oral Buprenorphine.

Patients may self-refer to our program. Same day or next day appointments for MAT intakes are scheduled when available.
