In order to meet the diverse and specific needs of our residents the Rehabilitation Department is composed of knowledgeable and caring licensed therapists and therapy assistants. Resident rehabilitation activities are conducted in our spacious and bright facility. We are a full service provider of Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy. Additionally, our staff has accrued many years of experience in treating geriatrics, orthopedics and neurological conditions as well as many other diagnoses.
In honor of the first resident admitted to Wayne Delaware Manor, our rehabilitation wing is called the Mae Wood Unit.
Through a structured program and treatment regimen we are able to provide a strong level of individual accomplishment and self-worth that maximizes the highest return in function and recovery.
We strive to provide for our residents in mind and body. This duplicity of treatments provides for an increasingly healthier and happier resident. Strength and endurance building, gait training, bathing, dressing and grooming retraining, cognitive retraining, and dysphagia for swallowing disorders are just a few examples of our full service rehabilitative menu.
As stressed throughout all of our treatments, care services and general activities, an individualized plan of care is developed for each person in an effort to provide a structured environment and treatment regimen that maximizes the highest return in function and recovery.
Our rehabilitative services are a conduit for resident contentment and fulfillment.
