New WMH Employee Health Initiative
The 10-week program from the American Cancer Society is designed to help participants break old habits and become more physically active.
“This is part of an ongoing effort to help our employees lead healthy lives,” said CEO David Hoff. “A few years ago, we launched our tobacco-free campaign, and this initiative is a natural next step. A healthy lifestyle helps reduce a person’s risk for serious and even deadly diseases such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes.”
Fair participants include the American Lung Association, Designer Bodyworks Gym, the American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Wayne Memorial Hearing Solutions and more. The Fair is open to all WMHS and WMCHC employees.
The Active-for-Life program uses individual and group strategies to help people become more physically active. Human Resources will offer prizes for team and individual efforts when the program starts next month.
