WMH HOSPICE MEMORIAL SERVICE
(Honesdale, October 21, 2014)… Wayne Memorial’s Hospice Department will host a fall memorial service on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Grace Episcopal Church in Honesdale to remember hospice patients who have passed away in the last several months.

Wayne County Commissioners Encourage “Puttin’ on the Pink” Day Oct 10th
It was not a hard sell. The Wayne County Commissioners proclaimed October Breast Cancer Awareness Month and enthusiastically embraced “Puttin’ on the Pink,” a Wayne Memorial Hospital and Auxiliary initiative to promote breast cancer awareness, encourage more screenings and raise money for mobile mammography.

Senior Center Flu Clinics Re-scheduled
(Honesdale, October 3, 2014)…Flu clinics at senior centers in Wayne and Pike counties are back on track. Two weeks after Wayne Memorial Hospital was forced to postpone the clinics due to a shortage of vaccine, the hospital’s Home Health Department announced it now has the supply to move forward with the clinics.
Wallenpaupack Re-opens School Walking Programs
(Honesdale, September 30, 2014)…Starting tomorrow, October 1st, the Wallenpaupack Area School District (WASD) will resume in-school walking programs at Wallenpaupack Area High School in Hawley and Wallenpaupack South in Newfoundland.
